{Shannon & James} A winter wedding at Strathmere’s Lodge
If you’ve ever met with us about your wedding, you’ll know that all we ask of our couples is that you bring emotion. Well, we had nothing to worry about at Shannon & James’ wedding! We had a great day for weather at Strathmere this past January, with light snow turning into a nice heavy snowfall for the end of their ceremony. When Shannon and James met with us, we chatted about timing and decided that a first look was the best fit for great images given their ceremony was at 4pm, and we would have only had 30 minutes of daylight after their ceremony. We created a little bit of suspense with James as he was waiting for his bride to arrive!
I had a pleasure capturing the emotion of their day, and I hope that you enjoy the preview!

{Jennifer & Matt} A fall wedding at Strathmere
Jennifer and Matt are very unique and full of love for each other. You may remember them from when we burnt a sofa for their engagement session! I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding at Strathmere this fall, and they were just as playful and creative at their wedding! Jennifer’s brother was their MC and kept everybody entertained during dinner. When the dancing finally started, I finally saw where Jennifer got her energy and enthusiasm from, her grandmother, who’s in her mid 90′s got up and danced circles around half of the guests!

{Alaina & Jim} A gorgeous fall wedding at Strathmere’s Lodge
Ivanette and I first had the opportunity to meet with Alaina, Jim & Bella back in December just after we moved into our new studio. We had a great time and had been looking forward to their wedding. Alaina & Jim (and Bella for that matter) have an amazing, true, pure love for each other, which is apparent after meeting them for only five minutes. When couples ask us if there is anything we need from them, our answer is simply emotion, which they both had more than enough on their wedding day!
We wish Alaina & Jim the best in their future together!

{Jingjing & Nick} A relaxed wedding at Strathmere
We first met Jingjing and Nick at a wedding show this spring. In getting to know them, we quickly learnt that they are two truly genuine and honest people. Both were brought up with traditional Chinese values, and their wedding showed that. Family was number one for this wedding, and was very apparent throughout the day.
Jingjing and Nick chose to see each other before their wedding, which allowed us to capture their formal images earlier in the day, giving time for a break after their traditional tea ceremony to relax before their reception!
Hope you enjoy the preview as much as I enjoyed photographing their wedding:

{Janis & John} Film Photography at Strathmere
As you may have read in our previous post, I used John’s vintage film camera and lens to capture part of their wedding. There is just something different about capturing images on Black & White film. I used Ilford Delta iso 100 and iso 400 film for these images:

{Janis & John} A gorgeous Strathmere Garden Wedding
Janis & John had a gorgeous day for their wedding last Saturday at Strathmere. The sun even came out for brief moments! The weather was great, with lots of great family and friends in attendance. Janis and John did a great job of putting together their elegant and personalized wedding. Of course, everything went as smooth as possible, thanks to Erika, one of Strathmere’s coordinators.
If you’ve already read my previous post, you’ll already know that I photographed part of Janis & John’s wedding using film, so that part of their day would be captured through the same lens that John used to photograph Janis when they were in high school in the 70′s. The following photos are all from our digital cameras, however, stay tuned for more film photos!
