{Erin & Chris} A wedding at St. Peter’s in Pakenham
You can’t help but notice Erin’s outgoing, bubbly personality! Erin and Chris were a pleasure to work with. We had previously had a blast photographing their engagement session, and had been looking forward to their wedding this past Saturday. Erin and Chris chose St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Pakenham, which is one of the 7 wonders of Lanark County. In the morning, we learnt that Erin’s Grandfather had a hand in helping build the 5 span bridge in Pakenham (yet another of the 7 wonders of Lanark County), so a quick stop for some photos, then it was off to Burnstown for some photos on the farm. We had a blast at the reception with the smoked beef and chicken. A big thanks to Erin, Chris and both their parents for their wonderful hospitality!

{Kelly & Derek} Downtown Ottawa wedding, Blessed Sacrament & the National Arts Center
You may remember Kelly & Derek from their engagement session a few months ago at Hogs Back Falls. We had a great time photographing their engagement session, as they are so relaxed, genuine and just plain ol’ nice! After photographing their wedding at Blessed Sacrament church in the Glebe, and their reception at the NAC it was apparent that their families were just as witty, relaxed, and nice as they are!

{Kristin & Clyde} The Grey Gables Manor & Germania Club, Pembroke
Preparations: Grey Gables Manor
Gown: Paloma Blanca
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Makeup: Studio Leslie Anne
Reception Venue: Germania Club
Decor & Floral: Creative Edge Studio Inc.
Kristin and Clyde held Pembroke’s wedding of the year last weekend, and it was a treat to be involved and capture the memories of two wonderful families joining together. As you may remember, we shot their engagement session a while back in some of the coolest spots, all with significant sentimental value to them for the family history.
Kristin and her girls got ready at the gorgeous Grey Gables Manor, and Shirley was so very gracious to give us a little tour and history lesson when we arrived. The home was built in 1911 by a wealthy lumber baron, A. E. Dunlop, and converted to a Bed and Breakfast in 2004. It’s Library Room, a century old oak library with a large original fireplace and windows made the perfect backdrop for the preparations.

I arrived at Clyde’s house to find things just getting started, so it gave lots of time for some great shots! You may remember Louie the Dog from the their engagement photos, and as Clyde’s constant companion, it was only fitting that he have his portrait taken too!

The wedding car was The Blue Goose, an impeccable LeBaron belonging to Kristin’s dad, and that also served as the wedding car when her parents were married as well…

I’m so in love with those delightful pink Louboutin’s!!

The Germania Club in Pembroke was made gorgeous by Steve Hanniman and his team of Creative Edge Studio, and it looked amazing! Yes, those are floral balls and crystal drapes hanging from the ceiling!!

I am always brought down by wedding day tears, but the following set of images literally made me cry when we opened them after the wedding…

The Blue Goose was looking pretty cool in the dark, rainy night…

We had a wonderful time at Kristin and Clyde’s wedding, and both families were so exceptional to work with–thank you to all involved for allowing us to be a part of the wonderful celebration you hosted in honour of an amazing couple!
