Last night we had the honour of attending the grand opening of Ashton Station Bridal which is located a short drive west of Ottawa in Carleton Place. As you may know there is another prominent bridal shop located in the quaint town, however Ashton Station Bridal is much different. They are the only Rivini exclusive boutique in the world.

They are located at 17A Albert St, Carleton Place, in a historic church. They have done an amazing job of renovating their space to create the most relaxing wedding gown shopping experience! From the antique doors that were formerly part of Luigi’s childhood home, to the charming architectural touches,  it’s an amazing space.

The concept at Ashton Station Bridal is also different from most bridal shops. They are open by appointment only. During the two hour appointment, the bride and her entourage are the only ones in the boutique, receiving the utmost care and attention from the shop owners. We love this concept, because it’s based on personal service, much like our philosophy.

As promised, here are some more images from Amanda & Trevor’s gorgeous wedding at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa. I’ll start off with a few stunning images of when Amanda and her father, got to see each other for the first time on her wedding day. Murray, commonly know as little Mur since Trevor’s father shares the name, had refused to see her dress prior to the wedding. Amanda waited anxiously for her father to arrive. They got to share a little bit of time together before the ceremony:

Thanks to our second photographer, Stephen for keeping the men busy while the women freshened up and came downstairs to meet up with the rest of the bridal party. Having Stephen as a second photographer really helps to provide equal coverage for both the bride and groom.

We have been looking forward to Amanda & Trevor’s wedding at one of Ottawa’s premiere hotels, the Westin Hotel and Suites. After the cold and dull winter we’ve had so far, it was great to see the sun shining for their Valentine’s Day Wedding. It was also our first wedding since travelling to Nashville for the DWF conference this past January, so we had a lot of new ideas and tricks to make their images shine.

There are way too many beautiful images of this gorgeous couple for one blog post, so stay tuned for more great photos!

If you noticed that the ring Trevor is wearing is very similar to his wedding band, well it is. Amanda actually had his wedding band custom made since he loved his bottle opener ring so much. Yes, Trevor has the ultimate man’s wedding band, being creative and functional at the same time!

Amanda and Trevor also made the decision that they wanted to see each other before their ceremony. I had asked Amanda if she would let me set up their first look so that they could have amazing photos, and she agreed. We brought her down to the 4th floor and told her Trevor was going to be coming off the elevators. As you can see, she waited anxiously, watching the elevators. Much to her surprise, however, we had Trevor sneak up the escalators behind her for a great surprise. They absolutely loved it!

After we gave them a moment together, and to check to see the progress of the venue decor, we headed around the hotel for some great photos.
