Jennifer & Jeremy had one of the most unique weddings we have ever photographed. When we met with them a little over 3 weeks ago, all they wanted was candid photos, nothing posed, no family shots, just pure candid photography. At first we were a little surprised, but then we found out the unique details, such as having their long time family friend perform the ceremony. The biggest surprise was that they were going to hold their 80 guest wedding at their house, complete with contra dancing, a form of square dancing, for their reception. This wedding was about the celebration of family, and having a good time, without having to worry about all of the little details!
Once we arrived last Saturday, we were thrilled with the architecture of their gorgeous home nestled into the side of Gatineau Park. Pictures are definitely worth 1000 words, so enjoy the preview:
On October 10, we were very honoured to be a part of Jean and Roland’s fun filled wedding–the weather was beautiful and the Billings Estate Museum was a wonderful setting for their unique ceremony. We also really enjoyed their traditional tea ceremony, and the banquet at Yangtze Restaurant was outstanding!
A big thank you to Jean and Roland’s families and friends, who were willing to teach us about their culture, traditions, and how to master the use of chopsticks!
This past weekend, we got together with Lama and Faisal in Montreal for their engagement photos, and we are in love with the images we were able to create! Their goal was to have a boutique style photos taken, and both the hotel and the stunning Sherbrooke neighborhood served as amazing backdrops for their gorgeous session.
I hope you enjoy the images of this wonderful couple as much as we enjoyed making them.
