I am proud to announce that I have set up a gift registry for all of my new clients. This is an option I will be offering to new clients where I will accept donations on their behalf for their wedding photography services. This is a new trend that has just recently surfaced. Only clients who opt in will be listed in the registry

I was pointed to this video on the Honda site. Now I know you may not think a video made by Honda would have anything to do with photography, but it does. It’s about failure, and how good it is. I really enjoyed this video so I thought I would share it with you.

Retouching & Photoshop

March 12, 2009

There has been a lot of talk lately about the amount of re touching that goes into magazines, billboards, posters and well, pretty much any advertisement. In France there is a group trying to pass a law that would require magazines and advertisers to disclose the amount of retouching that an image has received.

My personal opinion, it’s about time! Nobody is perfect and with all of the advances in Photoshop, the line between real and fake is too blurry to be even found anymore.

With that said, the images on my site have been retouched. I am guilty of removing pimples and other minor skin imperfections, improving colour and skin tone from time to time and adding different effects to the backgrounds. I have not slimmed people down, elongated legs / arms or created any muscle definition that most magazines have added.
